On March 22, 2026, MineBBS 8th Anniversary Live and the closing ceremony of the 1st Minecraft Creation Contest wrapped up.
In the first section, YYT, the founder of MineBBS, introduced the detailed statistics of the forum during the past year.
He noted that 2025 marked a year of great significance and accomplishments. Registered users and their activity data has reached new highs. Compared with data in 2024, new registrations grew by over 80%, and daily active registered users increased by more than 12%. The user base of MineBBS continued to expand, and its influence was on the rise. It has now become the longest-running Chinese-language Minecraft forum that remains in normal operation in China.
He stated that over the past year, sections on MineBBS have become more dynamic and vibrant, marking a new phase of high-quality development. The number of newly posted threads grew by 15.69% year-on-year, while the number of replies declined due to a stricter review mechanism in an effort to build a higher-level community. YYT expressed that MineBBS will continue to standardize forum section management and enrich its content, so as to leverage the "dual core advantage" that the forum and its resources can complement and boost each other.
He emphasized that Minecraft resources stand as its core advantage. Without it, the forum, like a river without its source, could not have survived and thrived. Over the past year, MineBBS secured comprehensive development in the field of Minecraft resources. Last year, the number of newly added resources grew by roughly 30.5%, while resource updates increased by nearly 60%. Notably, the Java multiplayer gaming section saw the highest growth rate.
In the second section, YYT unveiled three types of forum virtual medals.
He announced that the 9th anniversary medal is coming, now available to take home for just 1,999 Gold Nuggets!
He stated that the first Minecraft Creation Contest medal features the contest's emblem, "Star of Creativity". It incorporates the "1" symbol, representing the inaugural contest, along with the word "CREATE" to signify its embrace for creativity. This is MineBBS's first medal design without external pillars or a full background backing. For the champion medal, the "1" is specially gilded.
He said that MineBBS has finished the design of medals for the second and third Minecraft Bedrock Development Contest, which will be issued to relevant participants in due course.
In the third section, YYT announced the result of the first Minecraft Creation Contest.
For the "Creative Art" category, also the singleplayer category for BE and JE, the champion is Adventure World: Dream Builder (author: 一只卑微的量筒); for the BE Multiplayer category, the champion is [Dungeon] Dungeon RPG Plugin for Nukkit-MOT (author: 世中之中); and for the JE Multiplayer category, the champion is SweetPlayerMarket — Global Market Plugin (author: MrXiaoM).
At the end of the event, YYT pointed out that some sections of MineBBS are currently short on moderators, and he called on more capable, available, and passionate forum users to make contributions to the forum's future development.
